The Hunger games
For me, the greatest success of this movie is how it showed up what an opulent, macabre society we could become. I loved how the fashion in the Capitol was very modern-aristocratic-esque *made up word*.
I didn’t read the books going in which I regret. The story is macabre, yet gripping and the acting is good and doesn’t come across cheesy when it’s not meant to.
I usually go to Rosebank Nouveau, this movie was worth the cramped seating and loud, rowdy crowds of the normal Sterk-Kenikor.
